A word of advice

STAY OUT OF WASHINGTON!!! Or to be more specific - out of Graham.....Sam has her drivers permit!!!! I let her drive around the church parking lot (an empty lot, of course) a couple weeks ago and then today she drove from our house to the church and back. I've come to the conclusion that I think I'll let the instructor teach her how to drive! Only then, will I get in the car again with her behind the wheel!!!

Two Amazing Daughters!

Everyday I go to work driving the bus. Everyday I watch and observe kids of all types get on and off the bus. Every year I have several students from the elementary school, junior high and high school that like to chat with me. They tell me all kinds of things (maybe stuff their parents wouldn't like shared) and I listen to their stories. Some have parents that are never around, some have parents that are into drugs, etc and are in and out of jail more often that not and some are kids that are just trying to make it through the day and need a listening ear. Not long ago, there was a junior high boy that wasn't using the best language and refused to stop. I had a chat with him and gave him a seat up front for awhile. When I told him he was off "restriction" and could sit wherever he wanted to, he chose to stay up front to talk to me. One day he told me, "You're like the mom I've never had." This made me so sad. I thought I was going to cry right then and there. That's when I realized how incredible lucky I am to have the daughters that I have. They may not always have the best attitude, but nobody has a perfect attitude all the time. They may not always get along with each other....but, once again, I've never met a family that didn't argue and fight occasionally. But I know they truly love each other. They never hesitate to stick up for what they believe in and always try and do their best. The peer-pressure they face at school everyday is tremendous, but everyone who knows them - knows without a doubt that they are LDS and what they stand for and believe in.

After seeing/hearing what I do on the bus, I consider myself so blessed to have Amanda and Sam for my daughters. I am so proud of both of you and I love you both so very much!
