We went to Seattle today. (See the next post for pictures.) We had my friends 3-year old daughter (Aleecya) with us and as we were driving along the following conversation took place:
Amanda: Look at the water fountain, Aleecya!. Oh no! Don't look.......it's a naked boy!!
Sam: WHERE???!!!!!! (Head whipping around and all eyes.)
Me: It's a statue, Sam!
Sam: Oh...... (Dejected look on her face.)
Wow! I think I'm in trouble! :-)

A day in Seattle
We've had some extra days off this weekend, so we decided to spend one of them in Seattle. First, we went to the Pacific Science Center. We have a year membership and it's always fun to wander around, looking at the exhibits. We didn't spend much time there, though, because it was packed! Next, we walked on a path that was along the waterfront. It was a place we've actually never been to before. We kind of got lost and found it by accident.
After our walk, we went to Pikes Market. It's always crowded, but there is so much to see...the flowers are beautiful, the crafts being sold are amazing, the fresh fruit, vegetables and seafood. The waterfront across the street from Pike's Market is fun to walk along, too. There are shops with some very interesting things, yummy places to eat, different boats and lots of birds.
We watched my friends 3-year old daughter for the day while they were moving. It's always fun to see things from the perspective of a child.
