Frontier Falcons JV Basketball

Sam was on the JV basketball team at her school this past season. She loves playing sports, and I love going to the games and watching her play - but by the time the season is over I am SO glad it's over! Her team only lost one game (by 3 points). They did GREAT! Her last game was a week ago Friday, she had this last week "off" and now this week she starts up with Soccer try-outs. Last year was the first time she played soccer and she fell in love with it! Call me crazy, but getting kicked in the shin, knee, etc isn't much fun - but she loves it!

On Monday morning, (2 days after getting her license) Amanda was REALLY excited to finally be able to drive the car to Seminary (her early morning church class) and then to school. As she was backing out of the garage, however, she backed into a big huge truck and dented my car! In her defense, though, the truck WAS in the middle of the road and it WAS dark - so it wasn't entirely her fault.

It's official folks..........

Against my better judgement, (just kidding.........I think) I took Amanda to the DMV today so she could take her driver's license test and SHE PASSED!!! Most of her friends have had to take both the written and driving tests twice - but Amanda passed them both on the first try! She did a GREAT job! She has been looking forward to this day for a long time. Within a few hours of passing the test, she got a call from someone for a babysitting job and she told them she could drive to their house herself. At which point, my heart about fell to my stomach! This is scary stuff!

On the up-side of things, I now have someone to run errands for me and go "fetch" Sam from her various activities!
